What’s a wedding without a wedding program? That shouldn’t be a consideration so let me walk you through the order of program for a typical Nigerian wedding reception. This program would guarantee that you have the best wedding day and reception with your guests involved and partying hard.

- Arrival and guest welcome
There’s no wedding without people and this is the period where many guests arrive the reception, take pictures at the designated photo areas, ushered to their respective seats and the get ready to party. This is a very crucial aspect of the wedding reception program and is usually coordinated by the event planner and her team. You don’t want people fighting over a seat.
- Parents of the Bride entrance
Make way for the parents and family of the bride! It’s a time of celebration. This is the time where the MC calls the parents of the bride to dance in and they are usually accompanied with friends, family and well wishers. The song choice are usually groovy and can be played by either the DJ or the Liveband.
- Parents of the Groom entrance
No wedding is complete without the family of the groom. The Odogwus are ready to make their grand entrance. They have successfully added a new bride to the family and this calls for a special celebration. The MC calls the parents of the groom to dance in and they are usually accompanied with friends, family and well wishers. The song choice are usually groovy and can be played by either the DJ or the Liveband.
- Bridal party entrance
If you have decided to have a bridal party (combination of Bridesmaids and Groomsmen), it is only proper for them to have their special entrance. Usually paired in twos, the bridal party dances in with their preferred song choice. They are required to come with a lot of energy and positive vibes.
- Couple’s Grand Entrance
The moment we have been waiting for! The grand entrance of the latest couple in the world! There are many creative ways to this and the MC, DJ, Liveband, wedding planner should be in sync and know what to expect from this grand entrance. It can be accompanied with lots of fireworks. Be sure to make it GRAND.
